I am Doodlebug, King of the Olde English Bulldogges. Lady Human, dogs are growling in the sky. Let us at ’em!

Sweetie: How dare they interrupt our sleep with their noise!

Me: That’s just thunder. No dogs are making that noise.

Doodlebug: And lights are flashing. The storm dogs are wearing light-up collars so they don’t get lost in the sky.

Me: Nope, that’s lightning.

Sweetie: It sounds like a pack of bulldogs having a party. Maybe they’ll jump down here and join us.

MoonCat: Oh, joy. Oh, bliss. Imagine! Bulldogs raining from the sky.

The Cracking Sky – Conversations with the Pack

Sweetie: Lady Human, the sky is cracking into pieces. Please go put it back together and tell it to be quiet. Some of us are trying to sleep.

Me: It’s just a big thunderstorm. A front is moving through. The sky will be fine.

Doodlebug: Why now? Can’t these things be arranged for a more convenient time?

Me: Nope.

MoonCat: Thankfully there are a few things humans can’t schedule. That gives me hope.

Bulldogs in the Sky! – Conversations with the Pack

I am Doodlebug, King of the Olde English Bulldogges. Where is that growling coming from? Someone is treading on my domain!

Sweetie: Take charge, Lady Human! Strange bulldogs are barking in the sky!

MoonCat: Meow! Oh, no! Now they’re coming from all directions!

Doodlebug: Let me at ’em! I’ll deal with them! Nobody threatens my family!

Me: Everybody just simmer down. There are no bulldogs in the sky.

Sweetie: Of course there are! I can hear them. Bulldog grumbling has a certain sound like nothing else.

Me: Yes, but what you hear is rolling thunder.

Sweetie: Exactly! The thunder of a million bulldogs running toward us.

Me: Take a glance outside. What do you see?

Doodlebug: Uh, sky water.

Me: Yes, rain. Only rain.

Sweetie: I hate sky water. I’ll take a sky bulldog pack anytime.
